Whiz Kid of the Week: Dylan Dugourd, Part 1

Dylan Dugourd is our choice for Whiz Kid of the week for single-handedly launching Edna Louis Spears Elementary School's first Inventor's Club.

Accomplishment: Dylan thought up and presented the idea of an Inventor's Club to Principal Ted Mockrish. He then worked hard to make his dream a reality, launching the first Inventor's Club at the elementary school.

Key to Awesomeness: Dylan has a family history filled with inventors. His grandfather, David Hershberg, started a company that designs wireless satelite systems, where his father Fred also works today. His mother Ann started her own company designing children’s clothing called Ooh! La, La! Couture.

Dylan is a voracious reader consuming books of every kind, from Harry Potter novels to books on Leonardo da Vinci. In his spare time, Dylan designs his own inventions inlcuding his own communication device and ladies shoes that transform from heels to flats on the go.
