Whiz Kid: Port Jefferson Middle School Student Awarded by Rotary
Phoenix Jampol was named Most Motivated Student of the Month by Port Jefferson Rotary Club.
Middle School student Phoenix Jampol was named the Most Motivated Student for the month of October by members of the Port Jefferson Rotary Club at a luncheon on Nov. 27, according to a statement announcing the award released by the school district.
Jampol's teacher Allison Giannusa said that her nomination was "based upon his perpetually 'sunny' disposition, diligence as a student, leadership skills and admirable qualities as a caring young citizen," the statement said.
The school's principal Antonio Santana, who is also Rotarian was at the award presentation for Jampol.
