A large crowd at Longwood High School saw  upset Greenport 56-53 to grab a title which has been more than a little elusive to the Royals over the past decade-plus: the Suffolk County Class C Championship.

Led by the superb play of starters Terrell Rose, Greg Nielsen and Anthony Lanieri, Port Jefferson led every second of the game and advanced to play Friends Academy in a regional Class C championship game March 9 at Farmingdale State College.
