Comsewogue Public Library to Host a Volunteer Fair This Thursday

You can make a difference in your community!

Perhaps you always felt that you wanted to do some good in the community in which you live. Some of you may be recently retired and want to start the next chapter in your life. Maybe your child needs to fulfill community service hours.  Whatever your reason, volunteer opportunities are out there and the library is allowing you to explore them in one centralized location.

Come by the Comsewogue Public Library this Thursday, Oct. 4 anytime from 3 - 5 p.m. to meet with representatives from various non-profit organizations. Learn about the opportunities they have to offer and determine what suits you best. All are welcome and there is no need to register.

Representatives from many organizations on Long Island will be on hand. A sampling of these organizations include: Hospice Center at Port Jefferson, Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Save-a-Pet, Habitat for Humanity, Three Village Meals on Wheels, Make a Wish Foundation, Literacy Suffolk, and so many more. We hope to see you there!
