Local Salon Raises Money For Clean Water

Earth Month fundraiser at Arame nets $1,325 for regional nonprofit.

During Earth Month, was able to raise over $1,325 for an organization that fights for cleaning up local marine waters, according to owner Ron Schlumpf. Customers were encouraged to donate to the fundraiser in April with the chance to win a gift basket put together by the salon.

“We are proud to be part of this program and are grateful for the support our clients have given, and all the help our team has provided to make this a success,” said Schlumpf.

The money went to Clean Ocean Action, which according to their website, is a national and regional voice working to protect New York and New Jersey waterways using science, law, research, education, and citizen action.
