When we started listing the ways to give back this holiday season, was one of those organizations that The office adopted a family in need from in Port Jefferson, a single mother of four children who also recently took in her niece. They invited people to come to their office and donate gifts from their "Giving Tree" for the family.
"This year’s response from the community was absolutely incredible," said Brianna Scarpelli, who does marketing for the practice.
She said that the contributions from patients and families "kept the spirit of the season alive."
Cindi A. Prentiss owns Physical Therapy and Beyond and is a physical and massage therapist. She also has a location in Smithtown. This is the fourth year in a row that Prentiss has adopted a family from Infant Jesus Church for the holidays.
She thanked the community for their generosity and said that on the last day of the Giving Tree drive "presents were pouring out from under the tree set up in the office."
