Halloween Fun Night, rUNdead 5K, Blood Drive This Week

It's a week of Halloween and fun events in Port Jefferson Station

Here's a look at what's happening in Port Jefferson this week.

- Halloween Fun Night: The New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc is hosting it’s own Halloween Fun Night on Tuesday, Oct. 29 beginning at 6:15 p.m. at 5225 Nesconset Hwy, building 7, suite 41-42. Children will get to participate in creating their own crafts, stories, and more. Parents will even get to stay on the premises and enjoy their own personal room with a television and Wi-Fi service. - Get involved. John T. Mather Hospital is hosting its annual fall blood drive this Wednesday ay 75 North Country Road in Port Jefferson, beginning at 6:30 a.m. The blood drive is open to all community residents and will take place in Conference Rooms 3, 4, and 5.

- Brides Against Breast Cancer’s Event: Meet at Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Courses, 870 Shore Road, Bronx, NY to browse through hundreds of new and slightly worn designer wedding gowns. All of the gowns range from $99 to $3,900 and are available in all sizes. There will be free programs, support groups, and even a raffle.

- The rUNdead 5K: This Saturday, Nov. 2, the Special Olympics New York is hosting it’s own zombie run. The event will begin at Lake Shore and Front Street, Massapequa Park. Each runner begins the course with a flag belt and three flags. Zombies will try to steal the flags throughout the course. The run will begin at 10 a.m.
