Watercolor Basics and Preserving Memories this week in Port Jefferson.

Watercolor Basics: Artist Regina Halliday will be here to get you started on watercolor painting. You will learn all about color theory and watercolor painting techniques. Everyone will then apply these techniques to an actual painting project which you will complete that night. This class is open to adults with skill levels from basic to intermediate. All supplies are included and there is no class fee at the Port Jefferson Free Library on Jan. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Weight Loss Seminar. Dr. Arif Ahmad and John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson have been jointly recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence since 2007 and now offer a comprehensive program including nutritional support, psychological help, exercise programs and surgery. Preserving Memories: Victor Sussman, a graphics professional, will show you how scanning skills can save your prized photos, slides and important documents. With the completion of this class, you will have the technical knowledge to perform this process. You may bring with you up to 3 (total) photos, slides or documents (up to 11x17) to be scanned in by the presenter and saved to a flash drive or CD you bring to class on Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Psychic Evening: All attendees will have access to speak with a Clairvoyant, as well as, participate in a tarot card reading, numerology, astrology, raffles & more. $25 per reading.
