34th Annual Holiday Festival

The day will be filled with events with live music from WALK-FM beginning at 1 p.m. Visitors can stop by the Ward Melville Heritage Center to see the model train display, check out the petting zoo and walk the 70 decorated trees set up in the Promenade of Trees. Santa arrives at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and then comes back again via the fire department's 3,000 light float at 5:30 p.m. to light the tree.

Jingle Bell Walk

The fourth annual Jingle Bell Walk at the Long Island Martime Museum in West Sayville is a perfect family holiday event as it features a non-demanding course that winds around the grounds of the museum.  Before beginning the walk, registered children will be given jingle bells to attach to their sneakers, along with mini holiday stockings to fill up with goodies as they encounter Santa's elves along the way.  Following the walk,Santa Clause will arrive by boat and will be available for photos in the library. Walkers are asked  to bring a new unwrapped toy to donate.The cost to register is $5.00 per person, kids 5 and under are free.  You can register in person the day of the walk. Christmas by the Bay at Meadow Croft

Saturday and Sunday, December 7th and 8th, 2013 Noon to 4 p.m. Admission: $5 for adults and $3 for seniors & children age 4-12. Not suitable for children under 4 years of age. The Bayport Heritage Association and the Suffolk County Department of Parks invite the public to their annual Christmas at Meadow Croft event. Meadow Croft is the 1891 estate of John E. Roosevelt and family. The house will be decorated in a Victorian/Edwardian motif with beautiful wreaths, poinsettias and greenery, magnificently reminiscent of a hundred years ago, reflecting the  theme of “Christmas by the Bay. Musical selections will be played on the original Roosevelt grand piano filling the house with seasonal music.

Super Bowl Ticket Chance During Farmingville FD Blood Drive

The blood drive is taking place at Farmingville Fire Department's 780 Horseblock Road location in Farmingville from 2:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. According to the New York Blood Center, anyone who donates at this or other regional blood drives through Jan. 17, 2014 will be eligible for the ticket sweepstakes. Appointments can be made on the New York Blood Center's website, and walk-ins are also welcome.

Holbrook Hope Ministry Food Pantry Open
