It's been a long rainy week to be trapped indoors, so this weekend's the perfect opportunity to head out and explore something new. There are multiple festivals, events and charity events happening in a short drive of Port Jefferson this weekend.
PORT JEFFERSON

Port Jefferson Village’s 5th annual Green Fest is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. The event will feature a green market, local hybrid car dealers, local musicians, solar vendors and an e-waste collection site.

Inspired by Life will host a free “relaxation circle” at 6 p.m. on Friday at their facility on East Main Street.
Check out the weekly farmer’s market outside the Frigate on Sunday starting at 9 a.m. in Port Jefferson Village.

Pace’s Steakhouse has live music Friday night in its lounge starting at 8 p.m.
Graceful Rose Restaurant will host Denice Given Band on Friday night starting at 9 p.m.
Kids
- Bring the kids down to “Father’s Day in Flight” at the Maritime Explorium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
- The Port Jefferson Free Library will kick off its children’s summer reading program at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Entertainment
- Celebrate Flag Day with a Parade of American Flags as hundreds of flags wave above the Avenue of the Americas at Heritage Park on Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Benefit
- Support the Rocky Point Fire Departments 9/11 Memorial by heading out to A Night Out with Medium Jeffery Wands on Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35.
THREE VILLAGE
Live Music
- On Friday at 8 p.m., singer-songwriter and “mountain girl” Nikki Talley will perform at Grounds & Sounds, the monthly coffeehouse event at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook. The event also features an open mic session (sign-up starts at 7:30).
Entertainment
Gelinas Junior High is hosting its “T-Bones and Talent Show” on Friday at 6 p.m., catered by Pace’s Steakhouse ($30 with dinner; $15 show only).
Recreation
The Three Village Tennis Club is hosting an open house on Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m., featuring activities planned by tennis pro Rod Dunnett.
Benefit
- Messiah Lutheran Church in Setauket will hold an indoor yard sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- World Gym Setauket will host a two-hour marathon spinning event, sponsored by TFCU, to raise money for the Team Jesse Foundation on Saturday at 10 a.m.
- A Charity Yogathon will be held to benefit the North-Shore LIJ Cohen Children's Medical Center at the barn in Avalon Park in Stony Brook, Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Suggested donation is $20 per class.

- Check out the “Caregiver Education Resource Fair” at Caroline Church on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. (non-sectarian/non-denominational event).
