The North Shore Jewish Center was established as a Conservative temple in 1947, several decades after the closure of the original, orthodox temple in 1918. The synagogue has been at its current location since 1965.

The Center now serves members from all over the North Shore and as far as central Long Island. It is inclusive of all worshipers, from the occasional synagogue-goer to the more devout, as well as interfaith couples. The Center has programs to support Jewish education and activities for people of all ages.

Services are held daily, both morning and evening.
