Running from West Broadway across from the harbor to Barnum Avenue, Old Mill Creek Walkway is an ecological walk oneMore fifth of a mile along a creek that has been a part of the history of Port Jefferson since before it was even called Drowned Meadow. People have altered the land in Port Jefferson to meet their needs for hundreds of years. Six signs along the way give pieces of information about the creek. It was built by the Village of Port Jefferson and New York State with money from an environmental protection fund. The walkway provides a peaceful respite from the busy town and an education about Long Island ecology.
