The Port Jefferson Fire Department is responsible for the fire safety and emergency rescue operations of the Village…More of Port Jefferson and the Village of Belle Terre. The area they protect encompasses about 4 square miles and almost 9,000 individuals. The Terryville Fire Department was established in 1950 for the fire safety and emergency rescue operations of Port…More Jefferson Station and Terryville. The area they protect encompasses 5.8 square miles and about 18,000 residents. There are three engine companies operating out of three different stations. Engine 1 is located in the station at 19 Jayne Blvd., Engine 2 is at the station on Old Town Road across from Terryville Road and Engine 3 is at 433 Canal Rd..
