The big brick Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church has a long history in the community. Since breaking off from the…More Kings Park parish in 1902 the church has served the Catholic communities in and around Port Jefferson for over 100 years. In addition to holding daily Masses, sacraments and religious training, the church has a variety of services and events that help the community including a food pantry, back-to-school drives and providing ministry to homebound parish members.
Infant Jesus Church programs include student and adult education, programs for youth, Spanish programs and choir for adults and children.
Behind the church building is the Rectory Office where the business of the parish is conducted. Aside from general office duties, one of their main services is the selling of Mass cards. They will also provide basic sacramental information. Inquiries about joining parish can also be obtained in the office.

The home was at the site where Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church sits today. In 1873, the current location of First United Methodist Church was established and a church was built. Since then, the church has been here for people to come and worship and enjoy fellowship with other congregants.
Sunday service starts with a hymn singing at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. A nursery is available for children younger than 3, and Sunday school for pre-kindertarten through 12th Grade starts at 10 a.m., from September through June.
The church has an extensive music program directed by Carol Landis. The choir performs regular concerts with visiting performers. The work the church does includes a Thanksgiving food drive, Habitat for Humanity, Nothing but Nets and Unicef.
