Bob  Makofsky is a retired Teacher who enjoys writing short stories, poetry, and reviews.  He is currently teaching writing short fiction at the OLLI program at Stony Brook University.  He writes a monthly column for Chronicles, OLLI’s newsletter, and is well received by the program’s students, teachers, and administrators.  Bob has received Honorable Mention for Newsday’s Historical Short Story Contest, and has recently  received recognition in the  Garden Poetry Contest hosted by Newsday this past Spring.  He is glad to be contributing to Patch and appreciates any comments or letters concerning his work.  www.stonybrook.edu/spd/olli/c
