September is Library Card Sign-up Month at the Comsewogue Public Library

What's the best way to prepare children for the new school year? Make sure they have a library card! A library card gives access to e-books, online homework help and other tools they need to succeed.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Comsewogue Public Library joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that our students have the most important school supply of all – a free library card

Resources at the Comsewogue Public Library are available to anyone who has a Comsewogue library card. Students can turn to the library for materials, programs and services that support academic achievement.  For more information on our upcoming programs and resources, check out our Fall Newsletter and our website.

Students can use their library cards from home, too.  CPL offers access to important educational resources, like research databases, thousands of free downloads, Live Study Help and more through Live-brary.com.

This September, to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month we are raffling off family 4-packs of tickets to the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center.  Whether you are a new cardholder or you already have a Comsewogue library card, you are eligible to win. Simply present your library card to a Librarian during the month of September, and fill out a raffle ticket! See our flyer for details.

Residents of Port Jefferson Station, Mt. Sinai and Miller Place are eligible to receive a Comsewogue Public Library card. To obtain a library card, (2) current proofs of residency, each containing your name and street address, are required. Children must be present to get a library card.
