James Cress Florists Blooms in a New Location

New spot is actually their former shop.

Floral staple James Cress Florists is going back to their roots and moving their shop just a few parking lots over to their former location.

The florist will move from the Port Jefferson Station home they share with Carpet Connection on Nesconset Highway to 36 Nesconset Hwy., which is just west of their old location.

“We started in the shop we are moving to,” said Liz Guido who works at the shop. “It is more homey and we are happy to be back. We think our customers will be too.”

The Carpet Connection is also moving up the road into the Port Jefferson Commons on Nesconset Highway. According to Guido, the vacated building will be a spa.

“They will be making some construction to the building to make it a spa. I can’t wait for that open too,” she said.
