Piano Student Shines

Francine Leung, a seventh-grader at Port Jefferson Middle School, recently took third place at the Suffolk Piano Teachers Foundation’s ninth annual competition, held at Faust Harrison Pianos in Huntington. 

For the competition, Leung performed "Le Petit Ane Blanc" by Jacques Ibert.

“I was nervous before I began playing, but after I got into the piece, I wasn’t nervous anymore," said Leung.
