Weekend Guide: Santa Claus is Coming to Town

This holiday weekend is chock full of things to do.

On this weekend filled with leftover turkey sandwiches and half eaten pumpkin pies, we're listing some things to do to get out and hopefully help you do something fun.

Perhaps you'll even work off a few of the extra pounds you packed on during Thanksgiving dinner walking around the village while you shop on Black Friday. Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend in the annual parade and Barnaby Saves Christmas returns to Theatre Three.

Why Go: in view of the Port Jefferson Harbor. This year the skating should be better than ever with a .

Why Go: From the warmth of the Sail Loft Room in the Port Jefferson Village Center, and with the harbor lights as stunning backdrop, three fine musicians perform the work of Teleman, Bach, Ysaye, and Mozart. All donations go to the purchase of art and school supplies for elementary school in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Why Go: Father and son music duo rippin up classic/alternative rock from the Stones,Cream and Aerosmith to Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots. Do some Black Friday shopping and then head down for some music.

Why Go: This holiday season Theatre Three will be running performances of Barnaby Saves Christmas. Each performance teaches Children the true meaning of Christmas, Hanukkah, and the holiday season. Read all about .

Why Go: Santa parade travels from the Railroad Station to the Drowned Meadow House at the corner of Barnum and West Broadway where children are invited into ‘Santa’s Workshop’ to meet Santa. Bring your camera.
