Were You At the Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson?

Let us know what you thought and upload your photos from the festival here.

The 17th Annual Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson drew visitors from all over Long Island and even across the Sound from Connecticut to enjoy some 19th century-style meriment.

Now, all we have are the memories. And hundreds of photos in digital cameras and on phones everywhere from people who went to the village to start their holiday season with the annual event.

Patch wants you to set those photos free! Upload them here and share them with everyone to relive the memories. Did you head down to the Dickens Festival this past weekend? What did you think? Tell us in the comments and upload your photos.

We were there - had a great time as we do every year. Started with breakfast at "Toast" and ended the day with dinner at "The Steam Room". We look forward to the Cookie Walk and the Chocolate Extravaganza! My son loved Santa's workshop and Mother Goose with the "Gingerbread Man" story. Soooo much to do for a fun filled day. One thing we did miss....Santa and his reindeer - where were they? Wish the weather was more cooperative on Saturday - however, it was better than some years past when we were dodging mounds of snow on the sidewalk. Every year they do an awesome job - looking forward to next year!

We would love to have more entries. Please spread the word for next year's contest. Registration begins around September and information can be found at www.gingerbread-contest.com. We raised a lot of money for Long Island Cares this year, and we hope to partner with them again next year!
