Summer Construction Brings Sidewalks to Townline Road
Hauppuage parents who feared their teens walking to school on busy roadways may be able to breath easier next school year.

Construction crews are preparing to create a continuous sidewalk along the north side of Townline Road, spanning from Lincoln Boulevard  east to Hoffman Lane. Construction is scheduled to start by June 24, announced Legis. John Kennedy, R-Nesconset.

FROM THREE VILLAGE: 

Monday’s Cable Outages Frustrate Local Residents
As the rain began to fall on Monday, many residents in the Three Village area reported losing cable television, phone and internet service around 11:30 a.m. The service outages, though, were not the direct result of the weather: A Cablevision spokesperson confirmed to Patch that a car accident in a nearby area took out a utility pole, causing the service outages.

Town Condemns Animal Hoarding House in Miller Place
The Town of Brookhaven on Monday condemned a Miller Place house – the subject of many resident complaints – for unsanitary conditions brought about by animal hoarding.

Residents nearby contacted the Town about strong smells coming from the house and the presence of several pets that were living there in horrid conditions. Ten cats, two kittens and one dog were found in the house. They also reported that the yard was not maintained and had become an eyesore with overgrown vegetation throughout.
