Southbound Lane of Route 112 Closed at Night for Construction

The southbound lane of Route 112 between Washington Avenue and North Ocean Avenue (CR 83) from Port Jefferson Station to Coram will be closed at night for construction over the next week or so, depending on the weather.

According to a statement by the New York State Department of Transportation, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. traffic will be detoured onto North Ocean Avenue while the lane is closed and construction is ongoing. The northbound lane on Route 112 will still be open.

“Motorists are being warned in advance of the closing via electronic message board but are strongly urged to use alternate routes or they will experience delays,” the statement from the NYSDOT said.
