West Beach in Old Field After the Rain
The recent bad weather is finally letting up, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the outdoors.
After days of heavy rain, spring showers have given way to hazy skies, leaving a lush spring landscape in its wake.
Despite Long Island’s reputation for miles of traffic lined pavement, Port Jefferson is home to some of the most naturally beautiful areas in the region. Miles of beaches and thick wooded areas make up the local topography. The copious rainfall has helped local plant life flourish.
Hopefully the rain will stay away long enough to give people a chance to enjoy it. These pictures were taken Thursday in the area of Old Field.
