Artist Says Models Struck a Pose that Felt Right

Karzai said that she asked the models to find costumes from her bin and try to show her what they'd be doing if they had to wait around for a delayed train.

They began by jumping around and striking super animated poses, insisting that they'd have to amuse themselves and others if the train was going to take so long. All of the sudden, one grabbed a suitcase, the other a hat, and as if they'd given up on the train, they struck this pose.

I'd usually choose the more animated pose for my work, but this one felt like a space in between the excitement of the thought of travel and the actual ride. I was very familiar with it.
