If you're looking for a gift for the art lover or artistic person in your life, here are a few top spots to check out in and around Port Jefferson.

1. is located in the heart of the village, a short walk from the Port Jefferson Ferry, the Imagine Art Gallery exhibits a wide range of art work from both local and non-local artists.

2. No matter what your taste, has a wide variety of art to decorate your home or office. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, the store specializes  in the selling and custom framing of all sizes of artwork.

3. , a Main Street fixture for years in Port Jefferson, is closing due to its owner's retirement, so shop now before the store shuts its doors for good.

4. Fresh, a modern art organization based at supports the art scene by displaying work for sale from new artists each month.

5. You can purchase copies of most of the photographs in Port Jefferson village's historical archive and frame them to give as gifts. 6. At you can buy art as well as get your own framed.  They have contemporary, impressionist and popular art work for sale.

7. is a speciality boutique and artisan shop on East Main Street. There are always items from local artists like 10-year-old Kaitlin's "Happy Fish," made from recycled plastic soda bottles or high schooler Sammi's bracelets, made of tabs from aluminum cans. Even the Greentique sign out front is made from a piece of abandoned wood and painted by local artist Jennifer Nicole, who often sits outside the shop creating custom signs on the spot for passersby.

8. in Miller Place provides art classes in a variety of different artistic categories. With classes for all ages, Studio E is a great way to expand one's horizons and find the artist inside. Classes vary from sculpting to painting, animation and more.

9. has an assortment of original works, from both local artists and beyond, available for purchase. You'll also find a selection of creative items in a wide range of prices at its shop – mostly artist-made – such as hand-pleated Shibori silk scarves, Blenko glass, Glory B hats, beeswax candles, handbags, handmade ornaments, and more.

10. The Art League of Long Island is a bit of a hike from Port Jefferson, but worth it if you're looking for a variety of works or a gift certificate to an art class for the art lover in your life.
