Chandler Square Space Ready for New Tenant [Empty in Port Jefferson]

Former home of Port Jefferson Motorcycle Shop has been given an interior facelift.

A fresh coat of paint and new floors and ceilings await a new tenant at a storefront in Port Jefferson village, according to Realtor Maria Palmar, who represents Chandler Square.

The storefront, located at 106 West Broadway, is the former home of Port Jefferson Motorcycle Store, which moved a few months ago to a new space next to Starbucks on Main Street in the village.

"It's such a great location," Palmar said of Chandler Square. "When the ferry comes in, it's one of the first really nice things the people see."

She said there have been a few inquiries from those wishing to bring in a food-related business, but said this space has been designated for retail. The ideal tenant will have the benefit of signing a long-term lease with options. The tenant won't have to pay "cam charges," which refers to maintenance items such as debris removal outside the store and window washing.

The 978-square-foot space has a bathroom, and features two entrances – one on West Broadway and one inside Chandler Square.

"It's got two big picture windows, which I think is great," Palmar said.
