Low Tide Black IPA Back on Tap at Port Jeff Brewing Company

The black IPA, typically a year-round option, was out of commission for a few months.

Low Tide has been out for a few months, but it's back.

Port Jefferson Brewing Company's black IPA-style beer, typically a year-round option, has been out of commission for the past three months, as the brewery has been keeping up with demand on other brews, offering a summer option (White's Beach Wit), brewing with out-of-towners (its California Common was brewed with a North Carolina brewery, and will likely be gone before the weekend) and even letting homebrewers use their facility.

But it made its return this week, available for $15 for a growler-full at the brewery, or $8 for a half growler. The 7.2 percent-alcohol beer is brewed entirely with Citra hops, with black malt thrown in to offer a twist on a typical india pale ale.

Excited for the return of Low Tide IPA? What's your favorite Port Jeff Brewing Co. option?
