The Dish: It’s Easy Being Green When You’re Dill Potato Soup

Lots of dill flavor in this potato soup from Yogo Delish.

Like dill flavor? Then, when you order the Potato Dill Soup ($4.50) at , leave off the last “e” for exquisite because you’re going to love it.

This hot soup is another great offering from the various soup-serving restaurants around Port Jefferson for cold winter days. It’s a mixture of dill and mashed potato and for better or worse it’s not too creamy, meaning it might not go straight to your hips through your lips. The soup is perfect for sitting and slurping as you relax on Main Street to watch the traffic go by.

You’re probably not going to make an entire meal out of it, but it works as a midday snack or a light lunch. It’s also a good alternative if you’re not in the mood for frozen yogurt but the kiddies want some.

According to an employee, the Dill Potato Soup (and all their soups) is from a homemade Greek recipe that Yogo Delish ships in every day from sister restaurant, Voulapitta in Centereach. The soup is served with a warm fluffy roll on the side.

You can get any of their soups in a bread bowl for $2.00 extra.
