VIDEO: Mayor of Port Jeff Smashes Guitar
Tapping her inner rock and roll soul, Port Jefferson Mayor Margot Garant smashed a guitar at rock show on Saturday.
In what was probably a cathartic moment for Port Jefferson Mayor Margot Garant, the usually staid leader of the village went all out for rock and roll by smashing a guitar in the parking lot of the newly opened School of Rock during an outdoor concert on Saturday afternoon celebrating its grand opening.
Garant garnered some R-E-S-P-E-C-T at the event by hammering the 12-string acoustic guitar in front of the stage while WBAB on-air personality Sticky Fingers encouraged her to wail away.
