What Would You Like to See Built at Old Hi-Lite Diner Site?

Along with the TD Bank, builder is asking for ideas from the community.

After months of delays, the construction on is under way at the old Hi-Lite Diner site on the corner of Old Town Road and Route 347 in Port Jefferson Station.

Developer Jim Tsunis said that a 14,000 square foot office building planned for the site adjacent to the bank is still open for debate. Tsunis went to the Port Jefferson-Terryville Civic Association meeting last week asking civic members for input into what the community would like to see built there.

Ideas bandied around have been typical of the corridor from a drug store to a fast food joint.
