Blogger Reflects on the Passing of a Local Homeless Man

Topics range from who is responsible, how to deal with them, where to house them and many, many more," she wrote. "This is a different kind of story."

Robert D. Makofsky wrote about how great it feels to return home to Port Jefferson after an extended vacation. "After a month respite from the cold weather, we are back home in Port Jefferson," he wrote. "As much as we love to travel and explore far away places and new cultures, I must agree with Dorothy; 'There is no place like home.'"

On Valentines Day Jolie Powell wrote about a lovely house. "It’s tangible, it’s solid, it’s beautiful. It’s artistic and I just love real estate," she wrote.

Cynthia Lindner wrote the second part of her blog series on keeping your New Years resolutions. "Transitioning into a new lifestyle or behavior successfully requires planning, commitment and self-reflection," she wrote. "When we choose to make such a transition, we need to give up our old definitions of the world, our old ways of doing things, and we find ourselves challenged by the process of 'letting go' of old familiar habits."

Were you watching the Grammys this weekend and inspired to get your hands on some of that great music? Monica Williams wrote about the library's collection of music that includes many of the nominees.

Lee Cirillo, owner of Fitness Together wrote about going outside your comfort zone in your exercise routine.
