Port Jeff Easter Egg Hunt a Big Success

More than 100 people came out for Port Jefferson village egg hunt.

The day was bright and sunny and 100 people were out on the streets of Port Jefferson village for the annual Easter egg hunt and parade, according to a blog post in Newsday.

“Under a bright sky, more than 100 people dressed in sun hats, dresses and suits for the annual Port Jefferson Village Easter parade and egg hunt on Sunday,” the paper’s blogger wrote.

Generosity was also a part of the day’s events as those who found eggs gave them away to those who hadn’t found any. The blogger reported that one little girl who found the most eggs of her group gave some of hers away to other crying children. Another little girl who found two eggs gave one to her brother.
