Vine 2 Wine will host a complimentary wine tasting and cheese pairing event on January 27, from 1-4pm. We will be tasting Schloss Reinhartshusen Riesling 2008 and Les Mines Priorat 2006. The riesling shows a nose of lemon zest-laced river rock with notes of peaches, plums, limestone, dry cement, grapefruit and kiwi, which gives way to a palate of of oyster shell, fresh-squeezed lemons, white pepper, river-rock, blue stone, pear core and peaches. The very good complexity of fruit, mid palate and finish that make this a truly enjoyable German riesling. Finishes clean, bright and with lingering minerality. The priorat shows and inky violet color leading into perfumed and fresh aromas of mature red fruits, a hint of mint, coffee, herbs, and minerality. On the palate, this is a silky, textured wine with structure and elegance. That mature fruit notes, coffee, and mint, blend with minerality and spice, ending in a full bodied, seductive, and well-balanced finish.
