Support the Kid presents 5K for the Kids

The Support the Kid for Cancer's 5K for the Kids takes place on a scenic loop around the historical campus of the Stony Brook School, in Stony Brook NY. The course is named in memory of Shih-Tse Hsiao, class of 1972 and captain of the 1971 cross country team. The course starts at the start of the Marvin W. Goldberg Track and is run clockwise. After passing in front of Buyers' Park stadium, runners make a small loop around the field followed by a large loop around the beautiful campus which is filled with historical brick buildings and large trees. The combination is repeated, and the race ends in front of the stadium. The event also includes pre-race activities to get everyone warmed up and is fun for all ages, including Zumba lessons, and some games for kids.
