With the cooperation of the Society for the Preservation of Long Island
Antiquities, librarian Earlene O’Hare, a long-time SPLIA docent, will give
in-depth tours of Sherwood-Jayne House at 11:00AM and 12:00 Noon. This
beautifully furnished house, dating from 1730, is listed on the National Register
of Historic Places and has a fascinating history. The tours will be strictly limited to
12 participants each; pre-registration is required. The house is located at 55 Old
Post Road in East Setauket.
