Patch Blogger: Summer Events Winding Down in the Children's Room

Summer events in Children's Room at Port Jefferson Free Library.

It has been an whirlwind of activity in the Children's Department of the these last few weeks! Between the participants of the Summer Reading Program coming in to log their reading and pick up prizes, and those who have attended our many programs and activities, there has been a constant stream of patrons and their grownups in and out exploring "One World, Many Stories."

Many of those who have completed their Summer Reading Program requirements had a picture taken in the elephant standee and displayed on our Wall of Fame.

Unbelievably, our Summer Reading Program is winding down quickly. Wednesday, August 17 is the last day to log reading and pick up prizes. And we hope to see lots of our favorite people who took part in the Summer Reading Program at the show "One World, Many Animals", being held at the Thursday, August 18 at 2:00PM.
