The Port Jefferson Rotary Club honored Port Jefferson Middle School seventh-grader Jillian Lawler as their Most Motivated Student of the Month at their March 11 meeting. Jillian was accompanied by her father, David Lawler, Port Jefferson Middle School science teacher Debra Hagmeyer and Port Jefferson Middle School Principal Antonio Santana.
“Jillian is a phenomenal writer whose work is at a high school level,” said Hagmeyer. “She is simply amazing.” Hagmeyer also cited positive comments about Jillian from her colleagues, saying they all “speak glowingly of her.”
