After Dispute Over Toy, Customer Damages Door at McDonald's

An irate customer damaged the glass door of the McDonald's on Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station after arguing with employees about a toy.

On April 3, an irate customer kicked a hole in a glass door of the at 5136 Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station after he didn’t get the toy that he wanted, police said.

On his way out of the restaurant the angry customer damaged the lower part of a glass door. Police said that the customer then fled the scene. A restaurant manager called police and filed a report with sixth precinct officers. It was unclear what type of toy the customer did receive or what toy it was that he wanted.

An employee who answered the phone at the restaurant would not comment on why the restaurant couldn’t supply the customer with the toy he expected.

Calls to the franchise’s corporate office, Hunt Enterprises, were not returned. According to its website, Hunt Enterprises owns over 27 McDonald's restaurants on Long Island, including the one in Port Jefferson Station.
