Suffolk County Police said a fight outside La Paz restaurant early Sunday morning sent one man to the hospital in stable condition.
Police received a call around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, reporting that a fight had occurred outside the Main Street bar.
According to police, they arrived to find a man with a head injury. The man was transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center and placed in stable condition.
The cause of the fight was still under investigation as of Monday, police said. While the exact cause of the injury was not known, the incident is being investigated as an assault in the second degree, meaning no instrument was used to inflict the injury.
