Crime Report: Burglaries and Assaulting a Police Officer

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

 Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during March 23-29.

A seventeen year old Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 29 in Selden and charged with third degree burglary. Repots state she was arrested at the sixth precinct for alleged burglaries that occurred on Lincoln Pl. between Feb. 3-10.

David Carter, 35, of East Setauket was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with four counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charges and possession of a hypodermic needle. Reports state Carter was arrested in a parking lot located on Route 347, Port Jefferson Station.    

Edwin Debus, 23, of Nesconset was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with six counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charges, and possession of a hypodermic needle. Reports state Debus was arrested in a parking lot located on Route 347, Port Jefferson Station.

Matthew Calabretta, 18, of Selden was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state Calabreta was arrested on Peters Ln., Port Jefferson Station. 

John  Jakob, 18, of Selden was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana.  Reports state Jakob was arrested on Peters Ln., Port Jefferson Station.    

Evert McGarrell, 28, of Selden was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state McGarrell was arrested for alleged criminal possession of marijuana.

Dylan McBride, 18, of Selden was arrested March 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state McBride was arrested for alleged criminal possession of marijuana.    

Jamielynn Gordon, 26, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 28 in Coram and charged with petit larceny. Reports state Gordon was arrested on Route 25, Coram for the alleged burglary from an unknown store.    

Ricarte S. Aguilar, Jr., 37, of South Setauket was arrested March 27 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Aguilar was arrested on Kelsey Ave., and Route 112, Port Jefferson Station for allegedly operating a Toyota Sequoia while intoxicated.   

Servet Akkaya, 21, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 27 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with disorderly conduct. Reports sate Akkaya allegedly screamed and assaulted a police officer at his home in Port Jefferson Station.   

Lawrence Carpinone, 51, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 27 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with two counts of third degree grand larceny. Reports state Carpinone was arrested for two alleged incidents that occurred at 367 Terryville Rd., Port Jefferson Station and 228 Route 25A, Wading River.    

Stephanie Bracken, 22, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 26 in Coram and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Reports state Bracken was arrested on Magic Mountain Dr. for the alleged possession of prescription drugs.    

Carline Girault, 50, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 23 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with petit larceny. Reports state Girault was arrested in the Port Jefferson Plaza for the alleged theft of items from Rite Aid.
