Crime Report: DWI Charges, Controlled Substance Charges, and Stolen Perfect Pup

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Feb. 3-15: 

Michael Thomas, 39, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 15 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Thomas had a bench warrant for his arrest. 

Judith Peralta, 30, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 15 in Centereach and charged with unlawful dealing of alcohol to a child. Reports state at approximately 6:32 p.m., Peralta was working at Torres Mini Market and allegedly sold beer to a minor.

Michael Parise, 39, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 14 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with assault. Reports state at approximately 4:15 p.m., Parise allegedly punched someone and caused injury. 

Eduardo Nunez, 19, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 13 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with disorderly conduct. Reports state at approximately 4:25 a.m., Nunez was told by a police officer to keep his noise level down and allegedly refused to cooperate.

Eric Sierocinski, 19, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 13 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Reports state at approximately 12:05 p.m., Sierocinski was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Oliver Street in Port Jefferson Station, and failed to exchange information. 

Denio Vargas, 27, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 12 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state at approximately 7:22 a.m., Vargas was operating a 2005 Black BMW and upon being pulled over was discovered to be driving while intoxicated.

Jason Murray, 23, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 11 in Selden and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state on Feb. 10 at approximately 8:25 p.m., Murray was allegedly operating his 2005 Nissan while intoxicated. 

Christopher Ciano, 31, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 10 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with grand larceny. Reports state on Oct. 10 at approximately 4:40 p.m., Ciano allegedly removed an English bulldog from Perfect Puppy Store in Port Jefferson Station. 

Christopher Heskin, 25, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 9 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Reports state Heskin was discovered by police in a parked 1999 Jeep on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station in possession of marijuana.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
