Crime Report: Petit Larceny, DWI and Narcotics Charge

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during May 11-13:

Joseph Papagni, Jr., 35, of Port Jefferson was arrested May 13 in Selden on Route 25 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

William Francis, 23, of Port Jefferson was arrested May 13 in Selden and charged with reporting a false incident. Reports indicate Francis was arrested on Route 25, Selden for making a false report.   

David Gurtman, 21, of Mount Sinai was arrested May 13 in Mount Sinai and charged with petit larceny. Gurtman was arrested on Tammy Drive, Mount Sinai for the theft of cash from 217 Main St., Port Jefferson. Reports also state Gurtman allegedly stole cash from a register.

Marco Mosquea, 46, of Coram was arrested May 11 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with DWI. Mosquea was arrested on Route 347, Port Jefferson Station for the operation of a 2001 Lincoln while intoxicated.    

Robert Lonigro, 28, of Smithtown was arrested May 11 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with two charges of third degree narcotics. Lonigro was arrested on Route 112, Port Jefferson Station for the alleged possession of narcotics.    

James White, 20, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested May 11 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. White was arrested on Janet St., Port Jefferson Station for the criminal possession of a controlled substance.
