Crime Report: Stolen Chemicals, Assault, and Unauthorized Operation of Motor Vehicle

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Nov.7—13: 

Peter Reyes, 41, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 10 in Selden and charged with petit larceny.  Repots state Reyes stole car wash chemicals from the Eager Beaver car wash. 

Elizabeth Mahones, 16, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 9 in Port Jefferson Station for the unauthorized use of a vehicle.  Reports state Mahones operated a motor vehicle without permission.

Dennis Dubowski, 32, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 9 in Selden and charged with assault.  Reports state Dubowski punched an individual.    

Joseph Panebianco, 26, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 7 in Centereach and charged with grand larceny.  Reports state Panebianco stole a pocketbook that contained a credit card.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
