Crimes Nearby: Man Allegedly Returns Stolen Goods To Stony Brook Lowes

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

East Setauket

Suffolk police are investigating an incident in which someone stole three kayaks on Oct. 19. The kayaks went missing from Setauket Harbor Canoes and Kayaks sometime between 7 a.m. on Oct. 19 and noon on Oct. 21. The incident is being investigated as a case of fourth-degree grand larceny, which indicates the theft was greater than $1,000.

Stony Brook

Suffolk police are investigating an incident of third-degree grand larceny, a felony, in which someone made multiple returns of stolen merchandise at Lowe's Home Improvements using different identities between Oct. 10 and Oct. 18.

Smithtown

Christina Fry, 32, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on Oct. 17 on petty larceny charges, a misdemeanor. Reports state Fry was arrested stemming from a Sept. 6 incident where she was hired to clean someone's home and took money from the homeowner's nightstand drawer.

Riverhead

Trever Jackson, 18, of Flanders, was charged with felony assault on Oct. 19 in Flanders at 11:10 p.m. According to police, Jackson was involved in a domestic dispute on Brookhaven Avenue during which he hit another man in the head with a 25-pound dumbbell.
