Police: Port Jeff Station Woman, Accomplice Charged With Multiple Burglaries

Total of eight burglaries attributed to two women.

A Port Jefferson Station woman and another woman from Coram were arrested and charged with multiple burglaries, including one at a home in Port Jefferson Station, according to police.

Christina Sherman, 21, of Port Jefferson Station, and Anna Joskowska, 21, of Coram are accused of robbing a total of eight area homes of property including jewelry and in one instance police said that Joskowska, acting alone, might have stolen cash.

Sherman was arrested on July 11 at her home in Port Jefferson Station and charged with six counts of burglary in the second degree. Joskowska was charged with eight counts of burglary in the second degree and was arrested at on July 12.

Police say that the crime spree lasted from early June until the day that Sherman was arrested.

Both Sherman and Joskowska are accused of robbing four different Coram homes on June 8, 14 and 28 and on July 11. They also allegedly stole property from a home in Ridge on July 7 and in Port Jefferson Station between June 5 - 15. Alone, Joskowska also is accused of robbing two different homes in Coram, one on June 8 and another July 2.

According to court records, Sherman was arraigned in Riverhead court on July 23 where she pled not guilty. Bail was set at $50,000 but was not posted. She is due in court again on Aug. 8.
