Agency has programs for children and older adults.

The Community Programs Center of Long Island (CPC) in Port Jefferson hosted Legis. Kara Hahn, D-Setauket, recently as she learned about the agency's programs for children and older adults.

CPC runs what it calls an intergenerational day care center on Sheep Pasture Road under three programs: The Children’s Community Head Start and Early Head Start, a federally funded comprehensive early childhood program, Day Haven Adult Day Services, an adult day care program providing care for frail older adults and individuals with Alzheimer’s and Early Discoveries Center, a child care and learning program.

Director of CPC Elizabeth A. Geary said she was "delighted Legislator Hahn took the time to visit our center to learn more about the important programs we offer for children, elders and families."
