Hahn was sworn in last Thursday.

Suffolk County Legis. Kara Hahn (D-Setauket) was sworn in to a second term, taking the oath of office at Thursday’s Organizational Meeting of the Legislature.

Hahn spoke with Patch shortly after her election win and said she was eager to get to work on environmental issues.

“There is a lot more work to do on water quality. It is very important to find ways to reduce nitrogen use and clean up excess nitrogen for water that enters our bays,” she said.
