Oct 29: Horror Movies, Costume Balls and Garbage

Today's five things can help you reduce, reuse and frighten.

Everyday we get closer to All Hallows Eve and today we help you get ready. We listed some great events going on around town today and later we'll give you a guide to the bets of what to do over the weekend. Then come back and see what happens when you get 40 kids together to play in the trash. Fun.

1. At the library you can attend "My Grown-Up and Me." It's a weekly program to give children a chance to grow through music, singing, play and stories with music therapist Beth Schwartz and some experienced early childhood professionals.

2. Appropriately enough the final Friday Horror Movie Madness series of the month features none other than "Halloween."

3. A costume ball should get you into the spirit of Halloween. Aqua at Danfords Hotel & Marina hosts a ghostly good time tonight featuring contests with $1,000 worth of cash and prizes. Drink specials and a DJ.

4. Forget jumping in leaves. The PTA Green Team got kids to play in garbage. It wasn't that hard to do. See why they did it and what they learned.
