Photo of the Day: Instrument Petting Zoo

Elementary students get to see, hear and feel instruments they will pick to play next year.

students were treated to a special day where they were able to look at, touch and hear instruments played by high school musicians, organized by band teachers Christine Creighton and Mark Abbonizio.

Called the Instrument Petting Zoo, third-grade students had the opportunity to get a look at all the instruments of the band and orchestra.

"Students were able to hear the instruments performed, ask questions about how each instrument works, and experience the excitement of holding the instruments, many of them for the first time," said the school in a statment about the event.
