Whiz Kids: Port Jefferson High School Robotics Team

Team competed at annual F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Long Island Regional competition.

The Port Jefferson High School Robotics Team finished number eight out of 50 school districts in the Annual For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (F.I.R.S.T.) Robotics Long Island Regional competition at Hofstra University.

Students work with advisors and mentors to design and constructing a robot within a six-weeks to compete in the competition. The team only has six weeks to complete the build.

After two days of qualifying matches, the team qualified for the finals ending up in the top eight at the competition.
